BLUE LOCK!! The Coolest Anime of The Century!

 hallo guys! I'm Showing up again!

Just about 3 minutes ago, I just finished an anime called " Blue Lock ". I just started watching this anime yesterday afternoon, and this morning everything was done. OMGGG!!, I really love this anime. The plot is completely unpredictable, the characters are unique, each has its own characteristics and strengths. the animation is really cool. The story is fun and intriguing. for sure the plot twist is really really crazy. totally clueless. it feels like really getting into the story, in the middle of a battle and between life and death. I don't think I'll be able to move on from this anime.

as long as I watched this anime, I screamed excitedly. even though I'm not that type (i mean, like shouting out of nowhere) of person when watching something. it's like watching the world cup, where all the matches are completely unpredictable. I was taken by hype, tense, happy and sad alternately in this anime.

I don't know if I should regret, sad or happy because I spent all the episodes in these two days. I can't watch it anymore and have to wait for the release of season 2. I'm really excited about the continuation. Who will join the Japanese National Team? what is the fate of kunigami? Will Rin passed and face her brother?

Right now, I will tell the story of the anime from the beginning and maybe there will be a lot of spoilers (warning!)

oh! maybe I should first explain who played a role in making this legendary anime. So, Blue Lock was originally just a manga comic, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. and apparently, this manga has been released since August 2018 (OMG! I JUST FOUND OUT NOW!). This manga just got turned into an anime in 2022 (and hits in 2023 I think), and is being directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe. 

So, this anime tells the story of a soccer training test/project, which was created by Jinpnchi Ego, and support by the Japanese government in the framework of Japan's defeat in the FIFA world cup. this training with a selection system aims to produce the best soccer players in the world, which not only trains the talents and abilities of its members, but also trains a winning mentality and individualism.

well, the training system here, in my opinion, is quite similar to the squid game. where, 300 person best strikers throughout Japan are gathered in one place and compete to be the greatest. the winner will advance to the next selection stage and the loser will be eliminated. aka, you have to get out of that place and get banned from the world of football 'forever' (so scary!).

oh ya! besides that. I also feel that this anime is very different from other sports anime. Football is a team game right? in other anime, especially team competition anime like this, surely they are taught how important it is to work together in a team. all members make up for the weaknesses of other members, and advance together as one team.

This anime is just the opposite (this point is what makes Blue Lock unique). since the beginning of the blue lock training, they are taught to have individualism. if they had even one weakness, it would have drawn them to ruin. all kinds of training and selection that are held, indirectly encourage them to become selfish and self-serving persons. in the field, no one can be trusted but themselves, " You can't depend on other people for your future. No matter how close your relationship is. "

there is no 'power of friendship', pure strength, effort, talent, without any attachment to 'the power of friendship'. what is there is 'my own strength' and 'my ego is number one'. that is one of the prominent features in this anime.

well, first of all, let's get acquainted with our main character, Isagi Yoichi !! 

like I said before, Isagi is a striker. told that, our MC, isagi doesn't have any outstanding football talent. even in the early chapters, he has a tendency to pass the ball to his partners when he is in front of the goal. he is afraid of shooting goals, he is afraid of receiving the consequences if he fails to make goals.

Well, in the middle chapter too, when he asked by his friends what strengths he has, Isagi can't answer. Isagi was only able to answer that question in the next few chapters, after he received a hint from the opponent he was facing. in the anime it is stated that isagi has the ability metavision or the ability to read the state of the field well, even at his best performance he can read the future for a few moments.

but in my opinion, isagi's abilities are not limited there. he won't be the main character if he only has a few abilities, right? hehe. I think Isagi has a winning mentality. he is not afraid to change, and always wants to grow, and continues to grow. when he loses, he doesn't stop there. he does a self-evaluation in every match. what are the advantages? what are the drawbacks? how to overcome the weaknesses? what made him lose? what is the potential that can make him win? How can he continue to develop his abilities? how to survive and become a winner in the blue lock? questions like that always appear in every game he does.

in the blue lock training grounds, there are a lot of geniuses and talents. without trying, they already can. without learning, they are already smart and already have extraordinary abilities from birth. In my opinion, there are two genius characters that really stand out in this blue lock. namely Nagi Seishirou and Rin Itoshi. 

because of their genius, prowess and the way they control the game on the field, they are called monsters. they are indeed very strong and talented, but what I want to highlight here is, in my opinion monsters are actually our main characters. Isagi Yoichi. Isagi is a monster because of his incredibly fast growth. he is a real monster. the more pressed, it will be bigger. like a time bomb. even if only armed with desire and hard work, he can grow, grow, and grow again to be stronger than before. he can slowly overtake and devour all opponents above him. and this is what makes me like this character.

to be honest, there are so many strong and interesting characters in this anime. and because of that, it's also difficult to choose my favorite character. but if I had to choose, of course I would choose our MC,  Isagi Youci for that reason.

btw. I think, isagi quite similar to Naruto. well, apart from that they are both main character, they have the same vibes. they are the warrior and hardworking type, not the genius and gifted type. although not the strongest, they grows quickly. he is good at reading situations, has good reflexes, strong principles, and has a high fighting spirit. never give up and kind. a striking difference, maybe naruto has a loyal friend attitude, but isagi tends to be realistic and individualistic (of course that because the teachings of training in the blue lock).

ok, let's go back to the story. (hahaha sorry I'm too happy to tell my faforit character)

basically, in this Blue Lock project, the 300 players who have been invited earlier are divided into 5 classes (which have been sorted based on ability levels and achievements) and each in 1 class, divided into 5 teams.

our main character is of course in the lowest class and team (indeed the 'zero to hero' type of main character is the best). In the first selection stage, they played a "ghost eats human" game in which, in essence, whoever hit the ball became a ghost. and the ghost must pass the ball to another member in order to transfer the ghost's nickname to the others. within 2 minutes and 16 seconds, those who are still ghosts will be eliminated.

well, of course our main character will not be immediately eliminated in the initial selection stage. With a thrilling plot and an unpredictable way, Isagi takes the first step away from his old figure. In this event, there is a very prominent figure. namely bachira meguru.

Beause tis Anime is very very Amazing and spectacular. maybe I'm too much, but so far, anime blue lock is the most amazing anime i've ever watched. (aku baru nonton 4 anime btw, naruto, jjk, spy x family, and this, blue lock). 

blue lock consists of 24 episodes, where one episode lasts approximately 23 minutes. then, it should take 552 minutes, or about 9 hours and 12 minutes.
