Exciting Experience from Bukber DKM 2023 Event

Bukber DKM 2023 is on fire!

Why? because we are the committee!

So here's the story, a few weeks ago. we DKM members of batch 25 were given an assignment or a project by our seniors, batch 24, to hold a bukber event with the entire batch (classes 25, 24, 23 and Alumni). this is our first project as DKM members. because we are still in grade 1 high school, and still don't have much experience.

Of course in some cases in this project, we still need criticism, suggestions and guidance from upperclassmen, but not so much. guess what we did a week before the event (D-7)? right, dividing the division. it was a bit tight indeed, but surprisingly, the event went very smoothly.

that day I was confused between the two division options, there is Publication and Logistics. I'm interested in pubdok. because I think it's a place that fits my interests and talents (because I like to design and do photography). while logistics because I thought it would be fun and a lot of my close friends also went there. So? out of utter confusion, I chose both (stupid decision, indeed)

so I entered both divisions. although at first I thought I would contribute more to the pubdok division, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. I actually contributed more to the Logistics division. there I made proposals, helped a lot in making decisions, helped contact donors and so on. and sadly, I hardly contribute anything in the pubdok division, except discussing about the concept of the teaser. and even then, even though I was present in the process of making the teaser (filming) I didn't do anything (omg, very embarrassing). well, the point is I'm very sorry and regret it. I have conveyed my problem to the chief executive (Alphard Qodarudin), and he said it was not a big problem.

so, well, when it comes to the D day of the Event. I don't use a Pubdok ID card (blue) but use a logistics ID card (yellow). and I think, being a member of the Logistics division is very fun, and of course also very very tiring. that's a consequence. I also had quite a bit of fun with my friends before the event took place, when the guests started arriving, I greeted them and directed them to the right place. at that time I also got to know a lot of alumni, but I forgot their names (I'm sorry). DKM alumni are very diverse. some were from the 20th, 19th, 17th and even 14th batch (as I recall).

when enough guests have arrived, our MC (Hilal and Bunga) immediately opened the event. we did the opening with the holy verses of the Koran, remarks by the chief executive (Alphard), representatives of class 24 seniors (Kang Alfath) and remarks from Alumni representatives (Kang Farhan). after that we played 2 games, and then a lectures by Alumni.

until then, we members of the Logistics Division were still quite unemployed, until the time showed 17.30. we were immediately busy with the preparation of takjil and heavy meal. the thing that was quite surprising was that we actually had 5 types of takjil (dates, banana cake, mochi, fried food (gorengan), and bakpau). even though I thought we would be short on takjil, it turns out there were even more of them than we had anticipated. Alhamdulillah, there were no significant disturbances, so the event continued smoothly.

like other bukber events, after breaking the fast with takjil we carry out the shalat Maghrib first before eating a heavy meal. after eating a heavy meal, we immediately did the shalat Isha in congregation, then taraweh and then immediately did the closing and took a group photo.

This is my first experience as a committee for such a big event. it's a very valuable and enjoyable experience, so, I think I'll do something like this too when I get another chance.

thank you for reading my story to the end!
